Nemo Link connects the GB and Belgium power markets allowing electricity to be physically traded between both countries. The interconnector enables traders to buy up to 1012 MW capacity in auctions over a number of timeframes.
Nemo Link capacity can be procured through explicit auctions on the eCAT Platform managed by the Joint Allocation Office (JAO). The capacity timeframes available are:
- Long Term (Annual/ Quarterly/ Monthly): see the auction calendar
- Daily: capacity auctions held D-1 between 09:00-09:30 CE(S)T
- Intraday: four auctions per day, see the timings here
Acquired capacity rights can be nominated via the Regional Nomination Platform.
All unplanned and planned outage on Nemo Link are available to view on the REMIT page of BMREPORTs website (Participant ID: ‘nemo1’) and the Elia’s Inside Information Platform.
